In the dynamic Dutch greenhouse sector, Dalsem holds a unique position. In 2022, Dalsem was acquired by Cofra’s Sustainable Food Group, a family office with a clear long-term vision: to develop Dalsem into the market leader in sustainable greenhouses. Cofra envisions a future beyond the horizon, aiming to contribute to a livable planet and a just society. Their mission goes beyond profit, focusing on positive impact for current and future generations.
As a family business with a rich history, Dalsem is a place where camaraderie and care for one another are central. We see these values reflected in our relationship with our employees, many of whom stay with us until retirement.
In the challenging context of the international greenhouse sector, Dalsem is committed to the development of sustainable greenhouses. This includes using sustainable energy sources and CO2 from other industries, along with reducing our own CO2 emissions.
This approach is at the core of our mission to contribute to future net-zero food production.

At Dalsem, we strive for a sustainable revolution in the greenhouse sector. Our state-of-the-art high-tech greenhouses are at the forefront of technological advancement and sustainability, fully developed by us with systems for air, water, light, heat, and CO2 management. With greenhouses averaging 20 hectares, we set new standards for scale and efficiency. The beating heart of our organization is our factory in Den Hoorn, where our headquarters are also located—a place where the design begins and the final product goes out the door. Everything under one roof.
